Fifth Mountain

 

When reading a book, I enjoy taking notes or underlining the sentences which I'm excited with. Commonly I've just been finding to write down amusing also inspiring. I believe that it is an action that concatenates one's mind and spirit. I'll prepare a post page about this subject soon :)

Sooo Let's talk about the book, Fifth Mountain, whose author is the famous guy Paulo Coelho. Most of us should have read his famous novel, Simyaci in Turkish, The Alchemist in English... 

I think the book, Fifth Mountain, is just for you if you're in a rough time of your life, gives messages via difficulties that Ilyas, Elijah, prophet had come across. So the perfect time for reading when an uphill path comes:)  Life is alike riding bike said someone; so you should do something on your bike brakes and your legs on the way of uphill :) If you do nothing, then you know what will happen, if you experienced riding a bike...

When reading the book, I realized that I emphathized with him, shouted out with him, cried and at the end of the book plucked up my courage with him... So if you read it, I hope that it'll empower you as soon as possible...

He just tried to be able to find pleasure in his existence but it was useless. He'd been realizing that one has no power to take any decision of his life no matter which the day is.

Alike rivers and craps, the soul need a further rain: hope, faith, target of life. When those don't exist, the soul dies even though the body could survive. Then they say : " Once upon a time there had been a man here."

Elijah(Ilyas) said:

-I've been loving my job in the carpenter workshop. Finishing a chair, making a table helped me to understand the life. I was speaking with my finished works and they were giving me answers that was suprising for me. They gave me knowledge of wisdom and serenity because I'd given my best part of my soul to them.

I interject with your affection to give some notes about the quotation above. This passage was a hitting, fascinating one for me. It depicts the function of art and explains why the human beings could find and still are finding lost part of their existence. Actually in Turkish Mystic Tradition, the art is very important component for the one who keeps going on path to his(her) existence with Allah, called dervish or sufi. Any part of his(her) spiritual education have been consisted of  making art. In this way he(she) can connect with him(her)self. For example awesome spiritual guide, saint, Hz. Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi had given his messages via poet style, a kind of literature. By the way his books are accepted most powerful poets in his period, also they're protecting their power all over the world nowadays. In his famous book Mesnevi, he tells about a music instrument, called Ney, for describing Kamil, mature person, Mursit. His son Sultan Veled Hz, also a saint, valuable person; had been playing the Rebab, a kind of Turkish music instr. alike the violin, and had written a book called Rebabnâme about this instrument. It is possible to give lots of similiar examples in Turkish Mystic Tradition...

When keep going on to the well, Elijah and the son of the woman (kid) have a conversation.
Elijah said:
-Not only the soldiers but also your mother and I do exercises, because the one who listens his(her) heart usually does this.
Kid said:
-Is it necessity for being prophet, also?
Elijah said:
-Yes, also for hearing angels voice. We always tend to speak a lot, so we cannot listen them. We tell our faults, their reasons; need for being pleasure etc, etc all the time. Essentially The Lord, Allah knows all of them, Allah just want us to listen the voice, callings of the universe, angels and also want us to be patient...
The kid was glancing to Elijah suprisingly. No doubt, he couldn't understand anything. Even so Elijah kept speaking. He was thinking that maybe in special times all of these words would be helpful to him.
-All of fights in our life teach us something though we lose some of them. Sometimes you will say lies to yourself, maybe some times will defend also will be sad with those stupid things. You're going to realize all of them when you grow up. If you can be a strong fighter, you won't feel guilty. So you won't do faults like the previos ones...

Elijah stood up with praying and crying:
"My Lord, Allah,
I've broken your orders and did that without a shame. Thus realized that I'm at my own way to You. And it is not insistence to me by my ancestors, tradition or You, either.
My Lord,
I want to return my face to You now, I want to serve all my power to You.
It is not weakness of anyone that couldn't choose any other way. In addition to that, for gaining Your trust, I have to keep on my war until You hallow me ! "
Rebuilding the city, Akbar... Elijah had considered breaking the order to be in a war, in a conflict with Allah. Even so the thought in his heart was there because of existence of Allah.

That's all... The adventure goes on and Elijah ... ok, ok won't tell end of the book, it is enough i think :)
